    A few things to try

Ask Deniz to take the lookout while you begin a gate section. A completed lookout establishes the timing and may change their answer about the spare. Heavy repairs can require rest.

Or prepare the diversion while Deniz watches. After it is ready, either person can open it. Opening closes water service for this episode. A spare part remains in the shed if an earlier commitment leaves you short.

Parts belong to people. Gate and diversion work install parts as work begins; stopping retains the completed work and returns only unused parts. Transfer, lookout, salvage and meals need their complete intervals. A diversion must be opened before the surge; paid repair at arrival still counts.

Time pauses when either person finishes work. 1× advances one simulated minute per second; 4× advances four. Changing tabs pauses. There is no offline progress.

    Model notes

This is an authored preparation game, not a calibrated flood or human-behavior model. Unchanged Human/runtime 0.1.1 handles body, capacity and paid task practice; clock 0.1.0 orders events. This host owns task effort and duration, parts, forecasts, roles, consent, interruption and outcomes. There is no LLM, random outcome or seed.

Deniz’s role and spare-part refusals are explicit local rules; they do not establish general social cognition, trust, morality, faith or divine approval. Practice accumulates but does not speed up repairs in this short episode. There is no campaign, sleep, detailed physiology, off-screen community or offline time. Human usefulness and physical-mobile timing remain untested.
